HMS Before and After School Tutoring is before school, Monday-Friday 7am-8am and after school, Monday-Thursday 3pm-4pm.

Mrs. Nelson teaches health, girls PE, and is a HMS after school tutor. She is such a positive influence to her students. She encourages all of her students to be their best and do their best. On Monday, March 16th, the Hartford School Board recognized the following three high school students for helping with an emergency situation during one of our spring sports practices. Each student received a certificate of recognition from Superintendent Blackmer and the Board of Education thanked them for their fast response and help. Wonderful job Ti'onna Maeder, Esmeralda Garcia, and Elizabeth Manning.

The first day of open Pre-Registration for new Kindergarteners for the 2026-2027 school year will be taking place Thursday, March 19th, 4-7PM in the Redwood Elementary office.

Dana Billings, from the Michigan Department of Education, visited 1st grade students at Redwood. In honor of “March is Reading Month,” Mrs. Billings traveled from Lansing to share a story with 1st grade students. Students participated, asking and answering questions during the story.
