Mrs. Sumners' second-grade class had a fantastic time reading Misunderstood Shark: Friends Don’t Eat Friends!

After the story, they dove into a fun “Shark Attack” game where students picked cards showing different behaviors. They had to decide if the behavior was friendly or not-so-friendly. It was a splashy way to talk about friendship and making kind choices — with plenty of giggles and sharky fun along the way!

9/24/2025 Hartford Community: This afternoon at approximately 1:30 p.m. a Hartford Middle School student had an incident that required medical attention. Emergency responders and the school nurse were quickly on the scene and attended to the student. We would like to thank our staff, Paramedics, SRO, and the emergency responders for their assistance. The Hartford Huskies will be honoring our senior football players, cheer members, band members and their parents during the football game this Friday, September 26, 2025.

Approximately 30 minutes before the start of the game (6:30pm) seniors and their parents will line up on the west end of the bleachers to be introduced and walk onto the field.

We would like to thank our staff, Paramedics, SRO, and the emergency responders for their assistance. As always, our students/staff safety is our number one priority at Hartford Public Schools. 12/9/2025 Comunidad de Hartford: Esta mañana, aproximadamente a las 9:30 a. m., un estudiante de la Escuela Preparatoria Hartford tuvo un incidente que requirió atención médica. Los servicios de emergencia y la enfermera de la escuela llegaron rápidamente al lugar y atendieron al estudiante.
