On Friday, December 5, 2025, the NHS will draw three winners for their first annual meat raffle during the varsity basketball game. The prizes include a meat bundle worth $420; one worth $200; and one worth $150! See the pictures for a detailed list of what is included in each bundle. You do not need to be present to win your bundle - but if you come, you can cheer on our Huskies! We will call you if you win and are not present.

There are still some tickets available for $10 each. Please email Heidi Macias at maciash@hpsmi.org with any questions or to purchase your tickets! Tickets will be sold until we run out - even up to the last few minutes before the drawing!

All proceeds go to The Giving Tree Project that was started in 2015. This inititave pairs students from our own elementary school to shop with current NHS members to get much needed warm winter gear and clothing.

*Not much freezer space? No need to worry! Keep what you want and gift the rest to your family and friends or your local food pantry. What a way to give back to your community, fill your freezer, and share with your loved ones.

Thank you for your support

Le llamaremos si gana y no estรก presente.

ยกNo te preocupes!

Statement Regarding Redwood Elementary Student Dismissal and Pickup:
3 months ago, HPS
Redwood Elementary 395 Woodside Dr. Hartford, MI, 49057 November 14th, 2025 Redwood Families, Student safety is our number one priority. Recent incidents have placed children in unsafe situations during dismissal, and we are implementing stronger procedures effective immediately to ensure every child is protected. Walkers vs. Car Pickups โ— A walker is a student who leaves the school on foot and walks home. โ— A car pickup is a student who walks from the school building to a vehicle. To maintain a safe environment, children will not be dismissed to walk to vehicles that are not in the pickup line. This practice is unsafe and will no longer be permitted. If your child walks to a vehicle, they are now considered a car pickup and must use the official pickup line every day. Car Tag Requirement All car pickups must have an official school car tag. If you do not have a car tag, you must sign your child out through the front office and pick up a car tag before using the pickup line. We appreciate your cooperation as we make dismissal as safe and orderly as possible. The safety of our students will always be our top priority, and these changes help ensure that every child gets home safely. Sincerely, Maggie Platt Principal Redwood Elementary School 269-621-7300 plattm@hpsmi.org
Atentamente, Maggie Platt Directora Escuela Primaria Redwood 269-621-7300 plattm@hpsmi.org
On 11/12/25 a group of Hartford students selected by their coaches had the opportunity to attend the MHSAA Sportsmanship Summit held in Kalamazoo at the Radisson plaza.
Students were engaged in sessions with other students from the Southwest Michigan Area. Students were able to voice their own concerns with the rise of unsportsmanlike conduct in the stands as well as work on ways to improve sportsmanship within their own communities.

One of the sessions was developed and instructed by the MHSAA student Advisory Council members, of which Hartford's own Mason Mireles is a part of.
