Students of the Week:
9th: Hailey Arnold-nominated by Miss Valdes: Hailey is a good student who is always looking for someone to help, whether that be Miss Valdes or another student. She went out of her way to help Miss Valdez clean & organize her room one day after she had finished her work and helped some of her classmates with theirs. Miss Valdes appreciates her immensely
10th: Favian Martinez-nominated by Mrs. Tejchma: Mrs. Tejchma was subbing for Mr. Wright, Favian was kind and helpful in class. He also made sure the bleacher area was cleaned up after PE class.
11th: Lucas Sumners-nominated by Mr. Morsaw: Lucas Sumners always works hard in Environmental Science to receive top grades in his science class.
12th: Ami Mejia-Mendez-nominated by Mrs. Heil: Ami is a fabulous French student and is earning perfect scores on most of her assessments. She puts forth lots of effort to learn a new language and is an awesome student and human being in general. Congratulations, Ami!


Last Saturday the seventh and 8th grade girls basketball team went to a WMU ladies basketball game. They were able to be involved in mini games on the court and get autographs!





The soccer program will be selling shirts, crewnecks and hoodies as a fundraiser. Soccer players will be taking orders starting today March 8th and it will end on March 25th.

Adult ESL last night, ESL students played cultural bingo, practiced English and got to know each other!

Our 8th grade science students dove into the world of Force and Motion by building their own catapults! They put their knowledge to the test as they launched various objects and explored how mass affects the speed and distance of their launches. In addition, Mr. Price also created a little competition among the class periods as they competed for the longest launch. The winning class will be announced next week.

Attention Parents and Families of 7th grade students: Tomorrow, March 5, 2024 at 6:00 pm in Room 17 in the middle school there will be an informational meeting for 7th grade students and their families about their Washington DC trip in the Spring of 2025. There will be the possibility of four $250.00 scholarships being awarded during the meeting, BUT YOU MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN one of those scholarships. WorldStrides is offering new lower payment options and offering an early sign up bonus amount off of your trip. This meeting will go over fundraising ideas, cost of the trip, ways to lower that cost through scholarships and fundraisings, and every question families have about the trip will be answered. Please attend this meeting, even if you are not completely sure if you are going to be able to go to Washington DC. Please arrive by 6:00 pm, use Door D to access classroom 217. JMG Hartford High School student leaders met with State Representative Pauline Wendzel and Senator Aric Nesbittโs staff at the Capitol in Lansing to advocate for our program, learn more about careers in public service, and share about issues that matter to them. Students engaged in an educational scavenger hunt, heard from a panel of guest speakers in public service, and did a fantastic job representing our school and community. Excellent work Career Association President Deidre Beltran (12), Vice President Harmony Bennett (12), VP of Community Service Karina Lopez (11), Nevaeh Parks (12), Serenity Parks (12), and Isaiah Lovell (10).
