This past Saturday, on March 21st, 19 Hartford Huskies traveled to WMU to compete in the Regional Science Olympiad Competition against 20+ area teams. All participants did their best and Mr. Thiele and Mr. Morsaw appreciated all your hard work for these past months. We want to thank our seniors for all their time they have put in the Science Olympiad for the past 7 years in middle and high school. Our 2026 seniors were Alexander Morsaw, Weston Pitcher, Isaiah Lovell, and Joel Garcia. We wish all our seniors good luck in their future endeavors and the work they did for the Science Department and the Hartford community.

The following Hartford Huskies received medals/ribbons for their efforts:

5th place finishers in Boomilever were Joel Garcia and Josais Robles
6th place finishers in Boomilever were Carlie Sullivan and Pablo Rodriguez
8th place finishers in Electric Vehicle were Alex Morsaw and Isaiah Lovell
4th place finishers in Hovercraft were Alex Morsaw and Isaiah Lovell

Thanks to all of our competitors once again for their hard work this year. We finished 10th out of 28 teams and missed qualifying for the state tournament by one place. We look forward to working with the underclassmen next year and seniors thanks for the past 4 years and graduation is just around the corner!

class of 2026 senior spotlight haley johnson. MY Favorite HS Memory Resilience: High school is full of small "failures" a bad grade, a lost game, or a social fallout. Learning to bounce back from those moments is a muscle youโ€™ll use for the rest of your life. the #1 Skill I'm Taking with Me Advice for Future Seniors my Plans after Graduation Homecoming was my favorite memory because the entire schoolโ€™s energy finally felt perfectly in sync. Between the adrenaline of the game and the magic of the dance, The dress up days and memories. it was a rare moment where we could just be carefree teenagers. Those nights weren't just about the event, but the unforgettable sense of belonging shared with my best friends. This is your final year to be a student among the people you grew up with, so don't let the fear of embarrassment hold you back from the "last of many" milestones. Take the chance to join that club, talk to that classmate, or cheer a little too loud at the game, because these windows of opportunity are closing fast. Make sure your final chapters are defined by the risks you took rather than the moments you let slip away in silence. Attending Twin City Beauty college (cosmetology)
