Hartford Students making a difference:
As part of a VB Tech project Hartford students were able to take part in round table discussions about future career paths in the educational field. Teacher Cadet and Early Childhood students took part asking professionals in education questions about their positions, challenges in the job and advise they might have for future educators. Pictured is Maredyth Morsaw, Faith Fish, Evelin Calvillo, Mr. Blackmer, Aide Soto, Isela Mireles, and Clara Groh. Evelin, Aide, and Isela were actually the organizers of the entire event and did a terrific job!
High School Students of the Week (2/16/24):
9th: Timothy Fife-Goodrich-nominated by Mr. Blackmer: Timothy found sunglasses in the parking lot and made sure to turn them in to the office so they could be claimed. Thank you Timothy!
10th: Jose Sanchez -nominated by Mrs. Heil: Jose sold the most fundraising tickets for Spanish club and his efforts to participate in the club and do good things for our school are very much appreciated!
11th: Marissa Kemp-nominated by Mrs. Macias for always being kind and thoughtful. She happily went out of her way to take orders for Valentine's flowers from her Tech Program and deliver them with a smile. She has always been someone who gets things done and has a kindness in her heart. Mrs. Macias just wanted to let her know that she appreciates her and all she does.
12th: Harmony Perez-nominated by Mrs. McNitt: Shout out to Harmony for reminding Mrs. McNitt about the senior spotlights for class of 2024. After Harmony brought this to her attention, Mrs. McNitt was able to get a message to the right people to get this awesome display of our seniors rolling for the class of 2024. Great job, Harmony. Mrs. McNitt appreciates you!

The middle school quiz bowl team came in second place last night in White Pigeon's tabletop quiz competition. They also received awards for their previous buzzer competition where three Hartford players scored in the top ten individually. Those students were Melody Bennett (9th) Chris Lovell (5th) and Ava Mireles (1st). The team of Ava Mireles, Cassidy Luttrell, Izabella Jones Alvarez, and Rihanna Vela finished third overall in the buzzer tournament. Congratulations to all of our Quiz Bowl participants!
