Recently, the entire 4th grade at Redwood Elementary participated in an electrical safety poster contest through MEC (Midwest Energy and Communications). Yesterday, Lori from MEC came to announce the poster winners. The winner of the contest is Jimena Hernandez from Ms. Lorenz &. Ms. Hallgren's room. Her poster design warning about fishing near power lines will go on a billboard for all to see this summer!

Second place and honorable mentions went to McKynlee Hickmott-Brown and Mateo Ortega from Ms. Klein's room. Great job everyone! MEC was very impressed with our students' artwork and great behavior during their presentation!
