Fun fact: she and her best friend have been together for 49 years. 6th Grade: Leila Benavides - Leila has been a helper to both her fellow classmates and her teachers. She comes to class prepared and ready to learn. Keep up the great work!

7th Grade: Branson McGrew - Branson is a dedicated student who consistently puts forth his best effort in class. He is always willing to learn, participate, and give his best. He is also a pleasure to talk to and brings a positive attitude to the classroom.

8th Grade: Carter Moore - Carter is a true leader in the classroom, hallways, and outside of school. His positive disposition and eagerness to do his best will surely serve him well. Due to construction and for the safety of our students and drivers, we will be making temporary transportation adjustments beginning tomorrow, September 25, 2026, through October 30, 2026.

Routes 2 and 3 will be affected. Please refer to the attached map for the roads impacted by the construction.

If your home is located within the highlighted area, your new pickup location will be The Sportsman’s Club, located at the corner of CR 687 and 54th Avenue. Please park in the back lot by the building to ensure the bus has enough space to enter the lot.

Students who are affected by this change will receive direct notification. Pick up time in the morning will be 6:50 am and drop off time in the afternoon will be 3:10 pm.

False Fire Alarm Communication (9/23/26)

Hartford Public Schools letter dated September 23, 2026, notifying families that an unexpected fire alarm occurred at Redwood Elementary. Students and staff followed proper safety procedures and evacuated the building. After investigation, the alarm was determined to be false, and there was no risk to students or staff. The notice emphasizes that student and staff safety is the district’s top priority. The same message is provided in Spanish below the English version.
