Website Accessibility Standards
Hartford Public School District (HPS) is fully committed to ensuring that our entire website meets WCAG 2.1 and WAI-ARIA 1.1 requirements of ADA accessibility and compliance standards. HPS is taking several steps to make our websites more accessible to people with disabilities. Our website content managers have attended training on web accessibility and our designated Web Accessibility Manager conducts regular audits of our websites to ensure standards are maintained.
Third Party Content
Please note that some pages on the HPS website contain links to third-party sites. HPS is not responsible for the Online Content or accessibility of third party sites which are featured only as additional resources and are not essential to the function of HPS programs, services and activities. Where third-party content or features are included as essential pieces, such as YouTube videos about our programs or forms for access to essential services, we are committed to insuring that the information in the content is equally accessible to all users through closed captioning, alternative text for visual elements or other methods as necessary.
HPS is committed to working with digital providers whose online content conforms minimally to our own standards and guidelines.
