During 2025, Hartford Public Schools could be defined as a year of change, but also new beginnings of growth and excitement.

This year we implemented our new district strategic plan, will begin bond construction projects and improvements, while also developing and implementing new academic frameworks for continued academic success.

One thing that has not changed and certainly needs to be recognized, is the amazing adults that work at Harford Public Schools. Each day we have nearly 185 employees that have one main focus… Do what is best for kids. From food service, transportation, maintenance, support and teaching staff we have an amazing group of professionals that bring their best every day to help our children be successful.

Being in education is a challenge. It also seems every year the challenges get larger, more complicated, stressful and time consuming.

However, I want my end of the school year message to be a challenge to our supportive Hartford community. Reach out to a bus driver, custodian, food service employee, teacher or support staff member and thank them for helping transport, feed, and educate our future. Success is a shared effort that all of us can be proud of. Have a conversation with your children about the value of education, and how proud you are of them and be involved in their learning. Together we will continue to make this a great place to live, learn and grow.

El año 2025 para las Escuelas Públicas de Hartford podría definirse como un año de cambio, pero también de nuevos comienzos de crecimiento y entusiasmo. Este año implementamos nuestro nuevo plan estratégico distrital, comenzaremos proyectos de construcción y mejoras con bonos, a la vez que desarrollamos e implementamos nuevos marcos académicos para un éxito académico continuo.

Algo que no ha cambiado, y que sin duda merece ser reconocido, son los increíbles adultos que trabajan en las Escuelas Públicas de Hartford. Cada día contamos con casi 185 empleados que tienen un enfoque principal… Hacer lo mejor para los niños. Desde el servicio de alimentación, el transporte, el mantenimiento, el apoyo y el personal docente, contamos con un increíble grupo de profesionales que dan lo mejor de sí cada día para ayudar a nuestros niños a alcanzar el éxito.

El sector educativo es un desafío. Además, cada año parece que los desafíos se vuelven más grandes, más complejos, estresantes y consumen más tiempo. Sin embargo, quiero que mi mensaje de fin de año escolar sea un desafío para nuestra solidaria comunidad de Hartford. Comuníquense con un conductor de autobús, un conserje, un empleado del servicio de alimentación, un maestro o un miembro del personal de apoyo y agradézcanles por ayudar a transportar, alimentar y educar a nuestro futuro. El éxito es un esfuerzo compartido del que todos podemos estar orgullosos. Hablen con sus hijos sobre el valor de la educación y lo orgullosos que están de ellos, e involúcrense en su aprendizaje. Juntos seguiremos haciendo de este un gran lugar para vivir, aprender y crecer.
