On Wednesday, March 18 Hartford will be competing against Watervliet in our first Lifesaving Blood Battle.  Sign up to donate blood with Mrs. Owen or Ms. Braddock or online.  The winning school gets bragging rights and a trophy to show that Hartford is the best.  Sign up today and remember every pint donated saves up to three lives.

Upward Bound tutoring will not be tutoring on Thursday, but there will be a session on Saturday.

On Monday, our Science Olympiad competed in 20 events related to science and engineering.  They finished in 5th place out of 15 primary teams, which qualifies them for the State competition in April!  Some highlights:  2nd Place in Geologic Mapping – Victor Hurtado and Grace Weber, 2nd place in Boomilever - Trenton and Logan Lehnert, 1st place in Water Quality - Jasmin Janicki and Gillian Kuehnle, 4th place in Fossils - Emily Weber and Alaina Morales, 4th place in Circuit Lab - Jasmin Janicki and Breanna Truelove, 4th place in Gravity Vehicle -  Trenton and Logan Lehnert.

There will be a brief meeting today at 2:55 for any girl interested in going out for track and field in Mrs. Macias’ room.  Any questions, please see Mr. Paran.

The Hartford Pre-K through 12th grade framed art show is Monday, March 9th, from 5-7 pm in the middle school gym. Bring your family and friends! Cookies and punch will be provided.

Spring sports is right around the corner.  If you plan to play a spring sport, please make sure you have both a sports physical on file in the Athletic Office and you are registered as an athlete on Final Forms.  Any questions, please see Mrs. Parker in the Athletic Office.

Prom Tickets will be on sale during Parent Teacher Conferences this Thursday and Friday.  Tickets will not be sold again until after Spring Break for $5 more.
